I used five star moving to move houses back in September - they were recommended by another highly rated mover on Yelp who was not available. Overall my experience with Five Star was great. I did not have them do a full packing of the house, just move furniture, boxes and other things that were more or less ready to go. The movers were very efficient and polite and really worked hard to complete the job as quickly as possible. I was pretty impressed with how hard the worked to get things done. I had a lot of stuff in my garage that went into the new garage - I could quibble about the fact that they did not stack boxes/things as compactly as I’ve seen other movers do. But in the end, everything arrived in good shape, they moved things into the right place and they did it all quickly and for a really good price. Nice job! I would definitely use them again.

I dealt with Vivek personally and I was surprised at the level of personal interest that he took in my moving. I moved a two story house worth of furniture from Pacifica to San Diego and I was very concerned abut handling of very expensive items worth thousands of dollars ranging from electric beds to antique items. Vivek and his crew were always a phone call away every step of the process. They loaded everything and off they went to the San Diego location. They put everything per my instructions to the proper areas of the new house while I was happily cruising in my own car to the new location. The new landlord was even surprised at the courteous demeanor of Mr Vivek and his crew. If I had to move long distance again I know I would not hesitate to call this company again. The first time ever I’ve used moving service and I am so glad I chose Five Star Moving And Storage, which I think was one of my best decisions ever. Best Movers. After utilizing the services of Five Star I am convinced that getting quality movers is absolutely worth every single dime. We had all our stuff packed and ready in boxes. We hired their 3 man crew which was a good decision. They showed up around 8.45am, fifteen minutes before scheduled time which was perfectly fine with us, loaded up the truck with great promptness (which could have been very difficult due to the hilly streets we lived in). They didn’t waste time standing around, talking or over planning everything since Vivek the owner came down a day prior to the moving day and I guess had already designed a work plan. They got to the destination before even we got there which means they did not goof around in the loaded truck trying to milk the clock as I have heard about some other movers do according to some other reviews I have read on Yelp. The started to unload immediatley.The most impressive was that the crew was super nice and humble also very polite and very friendly. They didn’t complain about heavy stuff and had a very good work ethic. They didn’t try to put any holes in our pocket as they were worth every single minute we had paid for. We tipped them for a job very well done.

Five Star Moving made both our lives and recent move so easy and relaxed. Our move required to make two stops, which my wife and I had anticipated to take a extremely long time and would cost us a leg and a arm.However, the quickness and the professional attitude of Billy and his crew proved to real efficient, as well as amazingly priced. I would recommend them to any one who is in the process of moving and who want to avid stress and headaches. I had booked the move with Vivek over the phone with less then four days notice and there was no problem with scheduling. What I really like was that they showed up 15minutes ahead of the scheduled window time. Vivek had called the prior afternoon and reconfirmed the time and the address which made me feel cared for.
Despite the long day and walking up and down the steps on a hot summer day, Billy, Kahn, Ron and Ben were all full of smiles. Five stars to the company and the crew, Billy, Ron and Garcia.. They were professional, polite, respectful, trustworthy, hustled the whole time and did not lose momentum in the stairs half of the day. They did not complain even once about being tired, the stairs or the long carry to the truck. All of our belongings was moved from one apartment to another in less than the estimated time. Nothing was broken!!! Thank you so much Vivek for sending me these excellent movers of Billy, Ron and Garcia for all the heavy lifting and stair climbing you had to do! Best moving experience.

I just really can’t praising these super pro movers.They totally saved the day after the other movers I had schedule dropped the ball on me just beacuse someone in their office did not put on the schedule. I guess as they say everything happens for a reson , so therefore it must have been meant for me to use super friendly Vivek at Five Star Moving and eventually end up using his super friendly and experienced movers as well.Not only are they totally affordable but they were extremely fast, efficient and most of all very kind. This move was very stressful for me and they were super friendly and reassuring. They even told me not to worry about anything “just relax”. They brought all the required equipment,wrapping pads and even shrink wrapped several items and to my surprise there was no additional cost for the shrink wrap. They moved everything very fast and really went out of their way to make sure that it was all taken care of. The best of everything was that at no point I felt being taken advantage of as I was not keeping an eye on them like a hawk, Billy and Ron with Ben were just excellent..
I just thought they were really, really great. I would recommend them to anyone. I only wish there was a provision to award more than 5 Stars which they really deserve.

Ok 4 moves in 5 years-all within SF and the Northern Peninsula. Five Star was the best move of the 3 different movers we have used. Great price, friendly guys and they showed up on time. Three men moved us faster than our previous movers that had a six man crew because they also worked well as a team. They even were cheerful about working around our crazy schedules.
We’re hoping this place sticks but if we ever have to move again, we will definitely use them. Thanks Vivek and staff!

Just used these guys (Conrad + another [sorry, can’t remember name]) for a move from San Francisco to San Anselmo. 2nd floor to 3rd floor move with no elevators. These guys cranked it out quickly, were professional with nothing broken. More importantly, they did not overcharge and it was worth every penny. I would definitely use they guys again.
